Dr. Jose R. Perez-Sanz
After general Orthopedic training, Dr. Perez-Sanz did further Fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery under Charles S. Neer, the father of modern shoulder surgery. In practice since 1983, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Illinois and Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is a former Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Advocate Christ Medical Center and is a faculty member at various post graduate orthopedic surgery training courses. He is past president of the Illinois Association of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Perez-Sanz has devoted his career to the surgical and nonsurgical care of shoulder problems. His personal interests include poetry and sports including water and snow skiing. He has done ultra-marathons and ironman triathlons. He speaks five languages and is working on number six. Dr. Perez-Sanz wants to be your shoulder doctor.
