Dr. Todd Schubkegel

BOARD CERTIFIED AND FELLOWSHIP TRAINED ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON

Dr. Schubkegel received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with High Honors in Kinesiology, and medical degree from Rush Medical College. He completed his residency in Orthopeadic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center, where he also served as chief orthopaedic resident at the Hines VA Medical Center. Dr. Schubkegel then completed his fellowship training at the NYU Hospital for Joint Disease focusing on the full spectrum of shoulder and elbow conditions. He then pursued further training in complex adult elbow reconstruction with an observership at the Western Ontario Hand and Upper Limb Center in London, Ontario.

Dr. Schubkegel is a native of the Chicago suburbs, recently relocating from prior practice with the Marshfield Clinic in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. There he served as section chairman and operating committee member, while maintaining a blossoming shoulder and elbow practice with a strong emphasis on revision surgery and occupational injury. Working closely with patients, physical therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff to foster a global learning environment has been very rewarding with regard to outcome and efficiency…expects to continue this treatment paradigm with Advanced Orthopedic & Spine Care.

Dr. Schubkegel accepts patients for shoulder and elbow conditions resulting from congenital deformity, fracture, sport/recreational and occupational injury, overuse phenomenon, and degenerative conditions. Well versed in techniques of joint preservation and replacement, he welcomes difficult scenarios requiring an individualized plan for care.

Drs. Schubkegel and Troy share a passion regarding the appropriate management of worker's compensation and occupational injury. Dr. Schubkegel welcomes the opportunity to provide IME in the area of both operative and non-operative conditions of the shoulder and elbow.
